Mike led the team that introduced the world to the first genetically modified corn in 1995. He oversaw the business and technical development of several major commercial biotechnology seed products while at Novartis and Pioneer.

In addition to his formidable biotechnology expertise, Mike managed alliances and collaborations valued between $10 and $50 million, in addition to large R&D groups. He is experienced in all aspects of successful biotechnology product development and commercialization, including developing and implementing research strategies, formulating intellectual property strategies, optimizing team performance and organization, product registration, and developing and managing budgets.

Mike has 25 years of expertise in the industry and earned his B.S. in zoology from the University of Michigan and his M.S. and Ph.D. in biological sciences from Wayne State University.
